ABOUT DANA LEONARD: Dana Leonard has been a standout girls’ basketball player and coach in the Chicago area for the last fourteen years. Leonard’s success began in high school where she led Glenbrook South HS to a State Championship, and her AAU team to National Championships. She received a full athletic scholarship for basketball at Northwestern University. She is now running clinics and camps and is the head of the Rising Stars Girls Travel Program in her efforts to teach winning basketball to the next generation of female athletes.
CAMP DESCRIPTION: This camp will balance teaching skills and fundamentals with games, contests and fun. The basic skills of ball handling, passing, shooting and defense will be taught throughout the week of camp. The camp is designed to help each kid improve as a player while providing a fun and encouraging environment
